The Salvia Series by author J. B. Salix is a multi-book contemporary science fantasy set primarily in present-day Canada. This story follows a young female protagonist, Salvia Cyr, during her unexpected-and brutal-initiation into a world she never knew existed. It's a world dominated by violence, and the males who perpetuate it.
These men hunger for wealth and territory. They would both use and destroy her; for they know that her abilities can tip the balance of power.
Determined to live by her own rules, Salvia attempts to escape her destiny. But if she's to have a meaningful life, she'll need to wield her incredible power to her advantage, not theirs.
This is the story of a young woman's perseverance and triumph against the odds. Yet it is also a story of love. A love that strengthens and endures. A love, and a life, worth fighting for.

We aim to plunge readers into a world they won't want to leave. Themes based in science and nature are especially appreciated. Our goal is simple: honour the author's original work and vision, while also creating a second-to-none reader experience.

Our logo
Our logo features a bird clinging to a chimney-shaped stack of books.
This special bird is known as the Chimney Swift and spends most of its life in flight. It often builds its nest on the vertical surface of chimneys.
Sadly, a loss of nesting sites means that these birds are in decline.
Should you find an unexpected guest in your chimney, we hope you'll consider sharing, just a little while.
